The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has warned that Australians will be too cold this winter as a result of warmer than normal temperatures.
In a statement, the bureau warned that the average temperature in Canberra was 1.4 degrees above average and 2 degrees above normal.
“This will result in the average temperatures falling by about 1.8 degrees in the next couple of weeks, and the number of people experiencing extreme heat events falling by almost 10 per cent,” it said.
